Green Mile Giant, Michael Clarke Duncan, Dies at 54

I can remember watching Michael Clarke Duncan in the Green Mile and thinking what a fitting role.

There are fewer roles cast so perfectly. He nailed his performance and this was a favorite movie in our family that we watched several times. He did receive an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe in 1999/2000 for his role in the Green Mile, Michael Caine won best supporting actor that year for his role in "The Cider House Rules". Tom Cruise won the Golden Globe for his role in Magnolia.

Duncan's fiancee, Omarosa Manigult-Stallworth reports that he died Monday. Duncan had been hospitalized since July 13th following a heart attack.

Duncan appeared in or provided his for over 90 films and television shows, with two films currently in post production and one that had just entered the pre production phase.
