The Greeley Downtown Development Authority's Annual “Blarney on the Block” St. Patrick’s Day celebration is at 2pm on March 12th on historic Downtown Greeley’s 9th Street Plaza. Everyone is invited to wear their green and participate in the afternoon festivities, including a three-block parade,featuring the bagpipes and drums of The Fort Collins Pipe Band, the Sheriff’s Posse, Hearts and Tails Carriage, and more! The parade will start at 2:30 on 9th Ave. just west of the Tilted Kilt at 6th St.

Music

After the parade, there will be more live music from the The Northern Colorado Caledonia Pipe Band, and dancers from the Moriarty-Moffat School of Irish Dance. New this year will be music by the premier Irish band of the front range, Chancer’s Hooley! This will also be a special Go-Cup event, so patrons can enjoy an adult beverage, purchased at one of the participating establishments, on the 9TH Street Plaza during the festivities.

Kids Events

The little ones can enter to win a Potato-On-A-Spoon Race, a Rubber Ducky Dunk, coloring and more! Additional prizes will be available at 10 different downtown retailers and restaurants with a “Lucky Coin Pot-O’-Gold” search. A list of participating businesses will be available upon your arrival to the festivities.

Blarney Stone

Thanks to Greeley Monument works, the 9th Street Plaza is now home to a permanent “Blarney Stone” for the fourth year. The stone is now on the plaza and ready for kissing. Legend has it you will be rewarded with the “gift of gab.”
