It seems like yesterday that Brian and I were Grand Marshals of the Stampede, but but actually,  it was 8 years ago. (2004) We still consider it one of the biggest honors in our career.   The Grand Marshals have been announced for the 2012  Greeley Stampede, which just happens to be the 90th anniversary of the event. Bill and Sylvia Webster have been selected as the Grand Marshals of this year's celebration.

According to a press release from the Greeley Stampede:

Both Bill and Sylvia grew up in Weld County. Sylvia was born and raised in Eaton; Bill was born in Rochester, Minn. and grew up in Greeley. Bill was a former chairman of the Greeley Independence Stampede, and the couple estimates this will be the 53rd year they have taken part in the community event

The Websters are engrained in the Greeley community; Sylvia is the founder of the Northern Colorado Medical Center Foundation. She was on the Board of Education for Weld County School District Six, the Board of Directors for the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, United Way of Weld County, Salvation Army Board and many others.

Bill was a founder of the Boys and Girls Club of Greeley, and has been on boards for the National Cattlemen’s Association, NCMC, United Way of Weld County and the Greeley Planning Commission among others.

Bill and Sylvia Webster are the 58th  Grand Marshals of the Greeley Stampede.
