Greeley Stampede has made a very generous donation to the City of Greeley’s Parks Division for Aven’s Village, the first universally accessible playground in Weld County.

We know first hand how generous the Stampede Committee and the Wranglers are. They have donated to our 28 Hours of Hope for Years. On Monday, Stampede organizers officially announced a $75,000 donation that will help fund the playground’s construction. The overall cost of the project is $1.2 million.

Stampede General Chairman Patty Gates says:

The Greeley Stampede, as a member of the Greeley community, is proud to help support Aven’s Village, the first universally accessible playground in this part of Northern Colorado, where kids and adults of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities can play together.

The 93rd Annual Greeley Stampede takes place June 25 through July 5, and construction on the new playground is expected to begin at Island Grove Regional Park later this year.
