Starting on Saturday, officers from the Greeley Police Department will be on the lookout to catch kids in the community – but not for causing trouble. Instead, they'll be keeping an eye out for those who are going out of their way to do good things. As part of the national program 'Operation Chill,' patrol officers will be giving tickets to youth that are seen exhibiting positive behavior. This ticket, however, comes in the form of a coupon for a free Slurpee from 7-Eleven. Offenses could include things such as helping someone in need, performing a good deed, or wearing a bike helmet.

'Operation Chill' was created in 1995 as a way to reduce crime in communities and strengthen the relationship between police officers and local youth. Over 1,000 police departments across the country have participated throughout the years, rewarding over a million kids with coupons annually.
