Northern Colorado should be very proud! A local teen is a finalist in a national model search.  Micayla Tetivia of Greeley is one of the top 20 finalists in maurices Main Street Model Search. There were over 1,500 entries. That was paired down to 100 and now there are just 20.

The  judges, including celebrity stylist and fashion designer Christopher Straub of Lifetime’s Project Runway, chose Micayla to move on to the next phase of the contest, which is a casting call in Minneapolis the week of April 16th.

According to maurices Main Street Model Search:

The contestants will compete to be among 12 women chosen to model for maurices, a national women’s clothing retailer, in upcoming fall, holiday and spring campaigns. The winners will each receive a photo shoot at an iconic fashion shoot destination and national exposure at maurices locations, maurices.com, and through mailers and social media. They will also be awarded a $1,500 maurices gift card and a $7,500 charitable makeover for a nonprofit in their hometown.

Micayla says if she won, she would donate the money to The Pregnancy Resource Center of Northern Colorado Inc. This is the video that got Micayla noticed by maurices.
