Well, the Greeley-Evans police log is out and surprises once again. From an ATM to strange men and a bulge...this dispatch log does not disappoint. The log is from June 13 through June 17.

As the Greeley Tribune reported, the Greeley-Evans police log is out and will keep you wanting more.  It'll also make you wonder-- "What is going on?"

Saturday, June 13

9 a.m.: Greeley police were called to a supermarket in the 900 block of 47th Avenue for a report of a dog inside a white BMW that only had the windows cracked a little. The caller told dispatchers the dog not only looked “pretty warm in there,” but had also managed to turn on the car’s hazard lights.

5 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 700 block of 13th Avenue for a report of a man sleeping in a wheelchair.

6 p.m.: Greeley police responded to Stoney Brook after a child called dispatchers and asked that police arrest a man at the “Cricket's (Christmas) store” for being rude and not hiring him for a job. The caller then told dispatchers “This is a big ‘ol emergency. Is there any way you can come over and clean up my house?” Dispatchers traced the phone number to a known drug abuser, but were unable to locate any suspects when they responded to the area of the call.

Sunday, June 14

12:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to a bus stop at the corner of 11th Avenue and 9th Street for a report of a man sleeping on a bench with his shirt wide open and his pants unzipped.

12:45 p.m.: Evans police responded to a motel in the 3000 block of 37th Street for a report of a man “possibly doing some illegal activity.”

7 p.m.: Greeley police responded to a bank in the 2700 block of 10th Street for a report of a man who had lifted the face plate of an ATM. The caller was concerned because the man was driving a beat up silver sedan from the 1980s, turned his hazard lights on while parked in the drive-thru and generally “didn’t appear to be an ATM repair man.”

9 p.m.: Evans police took a call from a man who wanted to know if a person who had sold him a car off of Craigslist could ask for it back.

Monday, June 15

8:30 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 2300 block of 9th Street for a harassment call. When officers arrived, they learned the caller was being evicted from her apartment and she wanted to press charges against the property manager for harassment. Officers did not issue any citations.

5:45 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 2500 block of 15th Avenue for a report of harassment. When officers arrived, they learned the caller was upset because her estranged husband had canceled their cell phone service and filed paperwork to gain custody of their kids. Police told the woman those actions don’t constitute harassment. She slammed the door in the officers’ faces.

7:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to 10th Street and 28th Avenue for a report of kittens flying out of the windows of a silver Chrysler sedan.

7:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1200 block of 8th Avenue for a report of a white man with no hair pooping into a bag on the street with children around. Police responded to the area and located two men, as well as soiled paper, but the men denied defecating in front of children.

Tuesday, June 16

6 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1800 block of 14th Street for a suspicious activity report. The caller told police that a white van rolled up to her house and a woman got out carrying an aerosol can. The woman then gave the can to the caller and advised she spray it all over her home.

6:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1100 block of Cranford Place for a report of an intoxicated man who was no longer welcome at a resident’s home. The caller told officers she was in Sterling, but had received a call from her landlord — who was trying to show the apartment to prospective renters — saying he walked in to find the man passed out on the floor without any clothes on.

Wednesday, June 17

1:15 a.m.: Evans police responded to a gas station in the 1100 block of 42nd Street for a report of a man who was trying to swim in the South Platte River. When asked by dispatchers to describe the man, the caller said he was wearing shorts and shoes. The man could be heard in the background giggling and shouted he also has an impressive bulge. Dispatchers were skeptical.
