As the Greeley Tribune reported, law enforcement and dispatchers encounter a lot of strange and odd things. Here is the latest crime log that shows us exactly that!

Friday, April 10

2:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 500 block of 6th Street for a report of some “disconcerting” drones flying around the neighborhood at night.

11:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 900 block of 7th Avenue for a report of a man who was kicked out of his house and was insistent that the police department provide him with a room for the night.

Saturday, April 11

11:30 a.m.: Greeley police responded to 10th Street at 50th Avenue for a report of adults encouraging children to race each other on their “mini crotch rockets.”

1:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1000 block of 14th Avenue for a report of a found orange iguana possibly carrying eggs.

Sunday, April 12

8:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to a gas station in the 4600 block of 20th Street for a report of a man “dancing with his butt in the air” and trying to pull the hose off of the pump.

8:45 p.m.: Dispatchers received a call from an 18-year-old man who said he heard on his scanner Greeley police were looking for him. The man told dispatchers the police don’t need to be looking for him.

Monday, April 13

11 a.m.: Evans police responded to a report of a 23-year-old man who said he was hurt because health clinic employees “put the needle in him wrong.” The man refused medical attention at the scene.

4 p.m.: Evans police responded to a school in the 1400 block of 37th Street for a report of several kids by the playground with a Walmart shopping cart. One child was witnessed urinating on a tree. When asked by several people to leave, one of the children replied, “Nope, we’re on public property.”

Tuesday, April 14

7:30 p.m.: Evans police responded to Yucca Circle for a report of a man yelling obscenities at his neighbor and grabbing his private parts.

Wednesday, April 15

4:15 p.m.: Evans police responded to 37th Street and 11th Avenue for a report of a child hitchhiking on the side of the road. Officers contacted the 10-year-old boy — who said he was walking home from school — and explained the perils of hitchhiking. The boy said he got the message.
