The general public may not be aware about some of the ridiculous and crazy calls that our law enforcement agencies handle on a daily basis. These make for reality TV!

The Greeley Tribune shared what could arguably be considered for a reality TV show with the Greeley-Evans crime log. Take a look below at some of the calls they have encountered.

Monday, Dec. 22

9:45 p.m.: Evans police were called to respond to the Stampede Truck Stop in the 600 block of 31st Street for a report of a man scaring the cashiers by talking about his three previous divorces and nuclear bombs.

Tuesday, Dec. 23

7:30 a.m.: A man called Greeley police saying the department’s informant trick didn’t work on him. He asked for a supervisor to call him back to discuss how to file a lawsuit against Greeley police.

Friday, Dec. 26

6 a.m.: A man called Greeley police to speak to a supervisor about his chosen sobriety, which he had undergone out of respect for humanity and love for God’s children. He also said that he could prove to a jury, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the Weld County Sheriff’s Office and the police and probation departments had previously tried to take his life. The man said he was going to file the biggest lawsuit in Colorado history against law enforcement, Rite-Aid and North Colorado Medical Center for putting him in harm’s way. He told dispatch he hadn’t decided on an award amount, but that he was going to local and Denver media outlets to “get the lawsuit rolling.”

6:45 a.m.: A man called Greeley police to let them know he was going to indict his brother to find out “how strong he is.” The man just wanted police to know.

Friday, Jan. 30

8:30 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 6800 block of 20th Street for a harassment call. A man reportedly spray-painted profanities on the sidewalk in front of his ex-girlfriend’s business and then fled in his red Nissan pickup. The man previously had done the same in front of the woman’s house.

4:30 p.m.: A man called Greeley police to ask a supervisor if “Sons of silence can go against God?”
