Grand Champion Steer from Kersey Sets New Record at State Fair
Northern Colorado is being well represented in Pueblo this week, we are so proud. The grand champion market steer at the Colorado State Fair was sold for a record $57,000 Tuesday. That’s $2,000 more than the record set last year. Kyndal Reitzenstein of Kersey, sold her steer to Sam Brown and his family in the Champion Junior Livestock Sale.
The reserve grand champion steer, raised by Baylor Buck of Wray sold for $20,000 to the Denver Rustlers, a team of Colorado politicians and civic business leaders. The group also purchased the grand champion lamb, raised by Jenna Frink of Eaton for $13,000.
