George Strait's amazing career got it's real start 34 years ago today when MCA Records released his debut album titled 'Strait Country'. Who was to know that three decades later he would top the charts at least 60 times with number one hits.

That landmark album contained 10 songs with six of them being written by his buddy Dean Dillon. What a team those two would turn out to be. The big hits on the album were the classic 'Unwound', 'Down and Out' and 'If You're Thinking You Want a Stranger'.

Take a trip back to the early 80's and enjoy some young George.
