George Strait Gave Us a Scoop of ‘Pure Country’ 24 Years Ago Today [VIDEO]

Anyone who knows me knows of my love and respect for George Strait. I love his music and respect him like no other artist. I cannot imagine my life without the music of George Strait as the soundtrack. Speaking of soundtracks...

It was 24 years ago today, back in 1992, that MCA released one of my favorite George albums of all time. The soundtrack to George's big screen debut, "Pure Country" hit the store shelves nearly 25 years ago. Hard to believe it has been about a quarter of century since we saw George in a ponytail and beard and mustache, playing the part of Dusty Chandler.

There were so many great songs on that album including the legendary "I Cross My Heart" and "Heartland". Here are a few of my favorites from that epic George album. Thanks Dusty!
