Gas Pipeline Will Run Through Loveland

A gas pipeline is being built through the city of Loveland.  Representatives of Xcel Energy are going door-to-door to businesses along the route of the project through Loveland providing information and discussing issues with businesses that may be affected by the construction. Lane closures, road closures and detours are likely.

Along with other information efforts, Xcel Energy will soon begin direct mailings to 24,000 addresses along the pipeline route in Loveland and Fort Collins. The project will involve installing more than 7 miles of replacement gas line primarily adjacent to Wilson Avenue all through Loveland. The work will begin in May and continue into November.  The entire project will replace about 77 miles of pipeline from the Denver area to Wyoming.
