Gas prices are still astronomical compared to what they used to be (remember being able to fill up your sedan for $18?); but at least they've fallen a bit from what they were last week, even if Fort Collins gas is still on the more expensive side. The Coloradoan reports Fort Collins gas prices fell by 1.2 cents per gallon this past week.  That brings the city's average gas prices to $3.59 per gallon, compared to the national average of $3.49 per gallon.

“Beginning the month with the lowest pump prices since 2010 is a nice way to start August,” said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Gregg Laskoski, “but it's unlikely that we'll see gasoline production from coast to coast running as high in August as we'd seen during July.”

Here's hoping the prices keep going down.  In the meantime, is anyone else tempted to look into electric cars?
