Free Family Fun At Lake Loveland – Brian’s Blog

If you are on a budget, like we are, you are looking for fun free things to do this summer. We have lots of gems around the area to keep you busy for next to nothing. We would love to go out and spend a bunch of funny and have a blast but money is tight for us so we look for the affordable fun....like free.

Yesterday we loaded up the truck and headed to Lake Loveland for the early part of the day. What a beautiful setting! Getting to sit in the sand and look out over a beautiful lake and see those snow capped Rocky Mountains in the background was just breathtaking. We had so much fun digging in the sand and walking into the refreshing waters of Lake Loveland. Zander had the time of life on the inner-tube floating around and picking up sticks and rocks. We buried him in the sand for the first time in his life and he loved it.

The swim beach is free and located at 2626 N Taft Ave in Loveland. It is in North Lake Park. You can swim daily from 10-5. There are only a few rules. No dogs and no smoking and keep an eye on your little ones. There is a lifeguard on duty as well. We had a great day. Pack a cooler, grab a blanket and some sun screen and take the family out for some free family fun.
