Fort Collins Woman Charged With Murder Over the Weekend
Fort Collins police have arrested a 23-year-old woman in the stabbing death of her fiance on Friday night. The Larimer County coroner’s office conducted an autopsy and identified the victim as Raymond Neal Wimmer. He suffered a severe knife wound to his neck and died while being taken to a nearby hospital.
Police said they arrested Nicole Marie Ryan on suspicion of second-degree murder at the home she shared with the victim in the 400 block of North Meldrum Street.
Ryan called 911 at about 11:25 p.m., reporting that she had injured her “husband” during an argument, according to police. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 30s with a severe knife wound to his neck.
Ryan was booked into the Larimer County Jail on the murder charge and domestic violence charges, police said.
The case remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Detective Keith Maynard at 970-221-6540.
