Fort Collins Police Safely Reunite Dog with Owner

Fort Collins police went the extra mile to help safely reunite a lost dog with its owner.

According to the Fort Collins Police Services Facebook page, a worried family flagged down an officer yesterday to let them know their dog had gotten loose in the area.

The officer was headed to a call, but told the family she would return shortly to help.

Moments later, the officer was flagged down again - this time, by 2 young men who had gone to great lengths to catch a dog wandering in the area.

This was indeed the same dog the family had described just minutes earlier. So the officer helped the men take the "furry fugitive" to her cruiser and safely return the pup to her family.
