Fort Collins Police Officers are investigating an accident in which a vehicle hit two pedestrians sending them to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries last night.

Around 9:28 p.m. on July 13, Fort Collins Police responded to the scene of an auto vs pedestrian hit-and-run collision.

A group of people was walking eastbound on Drake Road near the intersection of Mathews Street when a vehicle traveling westbound on Drake struck several members of the group and left the scene. A male and female victim were transported to Medical Center of the Rockies and  a third pedestrian sustained minor injuries and was cleared at the scene.

A short time later, police received information regarding the suspect vehicle. The vehicle and two associated individuals were contacted nearby. Officers conducted interviews with the driver, Stefanie Schafer, 24, and a male passenger. Charges are pending.
