Fort Collins Police are seeking information about a male burglary suspect and a man who falsely represented himself as a police officer to a victim of a burglary.

On September 30th at approximately 7:15 pm, a female victim heard noises in her residence and found an unknown male inside her home.

She described him as being a white male, approximately 30-35 years of age, 6’0-6’2”, medium build, 170-180 pounds with short blond hair.

The victim ran upon seeing the man and locked herself in a room, at which point the man left her residence. Shortly thereafter, another male entered her residence, wearing civilian clothing and identified himself as police officer. He appeared to take a police report and left her home.

The victim described him as a white male, 35-40 years of age, 5’8”, stocky build, with black hair and blue eyes.

The victim was not injured during either encounter. She contacted Fort Collins Police later that night to follow up on the incident. Fort Collins Police records indicated that they had not received a call requesting assistance at the time of the incident, and therefore had not sent an officer to her home. The female victim worked with an artist to complete the drawings of the burglar and the police impersonator.
