Fort Collins Outdoor Smoking Ban Delayed for Some
Last month the Fort Collins City Council voted to ban on smoking on the outdoor patios of restaurants and bars in Fort Collins. The ban goes into effect next month for some businesses and later for others.
Restaurants and bars with patios that are not adjacent to sidewalks and other public rights-of-way would have six months to adhere to the ban.
Yesterday the Fort Collins City Council gave initial approval to an ordinance that would allow the delay. The outdoor smoking ban goes into effect Jan. 17th for most restaurants and bars. For those with patios set away from public rights-of-way, the ban would go into effect June 17th. So, smoke ’em if you got ’em.
