A Fort Collins man has been charged with drunken vehicular homicide nearly three months after being the 1st of three people to run over an 80-year-old woman who was trying to cross College Avenue. It's honestly hard to comprehend how 3 people could hit the same person. I just don't get it.

Monty Ray Dumler is accused driving drunk on Sept. 12th when he was driving the first vehicle to hit Marie Hayes of Fort Collins on South College Avenue. Dumler faces four to 12 years in prison if convicted.

A second and third vehicle also hit Hayes, who was then lying in the road. The second vehicle to hit Hayes, who was then lying in the road, was a 1991 Honda Civic driven by Calah Volz.  Volz has not been charged with any crimes.

The driver of the 3rd vehicle has not been identified.
