Fort Collins Man Arrested for Crimes Against a Child

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office sent out a press release Thursday afternoon concerning the arrest of a Fort Collins man for crimes against a child.

34 year old Matthew Fletcher of Fort Collins was arrested on the following allegations that were brought forward:

Sexual Assault on a Child – Pattern of Abuse Felony 3 (1 Count)
Sexual Exploitation of a Child – Production Felony 3 (1 Count)
Sexual Exploitation of a Child – Possession Felony 3 (1 Count)
Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor Felony 4 (2 Counts)

According to the press release, the search warrant was presented after the grandmother of a 13 year-old girl reported she observed nude photos of her granddaughter on a phone purchased for her granddaughter by an adult male.

Fletcher was arrested at his home at the 3700 block of South Taft Hill Road, in the Timber Ridge South community.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said in the release that they would like to remind parents and guardians that it is important for them to know who their child is talking with online.

It should be known that the charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until, and unless, proven guilty.
