Fort Collins and Loveland have established great traditions to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  The Fort Collins celebration begins today (Monday, January 20th) at 11 a.m. Marchers will meet at Old Town Square and will march to the University Center for the Arts at 1400 Remington street.  Free Transportation will be available back to Old Town.

ESSAY/POETRY CONTEST

At  11:45 am Poudre School District Winners from the Essay/Poetry Contest will read their works at the CSU University Center for the Arts in Griffin Concert Hall.

Loveland's MLK Celebration

Tonight at 7:00 o'clock Loveland will celebrate diversity with their tribute to Dr. King "Doing what is Right...Right Now!" at Mountain View High School. (3500 Mountain Lion Drive in Loveland) The speaker is Dr. Ryan Ross, Dean of Student Development and Retention at Community College of Denver. Dr. Ross was selected by the Denver African American Commission, as a recipient of the 2013 Mayor's Diversity Award.
