Brace yourselves, Fort Collins residents - there's another road closure coming.

According to a news release, Larimer County Road 30 will be fully closed Sunday, August 21, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to all traffic and cyclists. The road will be closed from LCR 13 (east of Donath Lake) east to Timberline Road (LCR 11) including the roundabout at Larimer County Road 30 and 11C.

This closure will effectively close LCR 11C north of 57th Street in Loveland.

Crews will be doing some preventative maintenance on asphalt within the roundabout, coating the asphalt with a sealant-rejuvenator. They don't expect the work to last longer than 4 hours.

So why not do this at night? Good question.

The curing process actually requires work to be done during the day when temperatures are warm. Performing maintenance on a Sunday will be less disruptive to traffic than during a weekday, anyway. (So as much as this stinks, they're really trying to make this as least inconvenient as possible.)

The road will be reopened once the sealant-rejuvenator has cured.
