If you have been in Old Town Fort Collins, you have probably been by Jefferson Park and now the problem that continues to increase and plague local businesses.

As the Coloradoan reported, business owners in Old Town have reached their breaking point with the lingering problem that continues to grow in Jefferson Park.

The problem is the disrespectful transient population.

Business owners continue to lose business as most people do not want to deal with being in that area and having to deal with multiple annoyances from the trash on streets, people begging for money, or just large groups of transients just being rude.

Fort Collins Police even say they have noticed a spike of 69 percent in their contact with the transients in the area.

So bottom line, does something need to be done about this or are we waiting for something to happen to make a change?

What do you think on this?
