Fort Collins Bans Fracking

Fort Collins has banned oil and gas companies from fracking within its city limits. Last night the Fort Collins City Council voted to approve an ordinance that would not only ban fracking, but also prevent oil and gas companies from storing waste materials within city limits. It also repeals a moratorium on the oil and gas permitting processes that was set to expire on July 31st. Governor Hickenlooper has promised to fight any city that bans fracking.
