Fort Collins Authorities Investigating Suspicious Fire at Campus West Gas Station

Early this morning K99 received a number of phone calls from our listeners, informing us that a fire had closed West Elizabeth Street in Fort Collins between City Park and Constitution. We now know:  The Poudre Fire Authority and Fort Collins Police are investigating a suspicious fire at the Valero One Stop gas station on West Elizabeth in the Campus West area of Fort Collins.  The business was closed at the time and nobody was inside. Crews were able to bring the fire under control in about 15 minutes.

Investigators are still working to determine the origin and cause. This fire is considered to be suspicious.
