I am a huge sports fan and if I had to pick my two favorite sports they would be football and fighting. There is one man with local ties, who has had a hand in both. Former UNC quarterback Dominic Breazeale, who led the Bears in 2006-07 and is a 2008 graduate, will fight for the IBF Heavyweight Championship on June 25th against champion Anthony Joshua.

Dominic has amassed an impressive 17-0 record as a pro with 15 wins coming by the way of knockout. I am a boxing freak and have followed Dominic since he made the Olympic boxing team in the 2012 games. I was surprised to see Dominic get a title shot already but would absolutely love to see him get the belt. He has all the tools, but I felt he was still a year or so away from being ready for this chance, but here it is. It is always great to see one of our own do great things, and Dominic has the chance to do just that. Good luck Dominic. Bring that belt to Colorado.

Here are Dominic and Anthony at a publicity stop for the fight where things got a little heated.
