Flute Music in Space
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) – Astronaut Catherine Coleman is
playing some out-of-this-world music.
She has four flutes with her
aboard the International Space Station. One belongs to Ian Anderson
from the Jethro Tull band. Yesterday, she played a couple of tunes
for radio and TV interviewers. Coleman says she considers herself
an amateur musician. Coleman notes that playing in space is quite a
trip. She likes to play the flute with her eyes closed and finds
she’s bumping into things as she weightlessly floats.
