Flash Flood Warning for Platteville and Streets Flooding in Fort Collins
A flash flood warning has been issued for Weld county, effective until 8:45pm tonight.
The warning effects the Platteville area and all of Weld County. Listeners, including our very own Paul Wozniak, are reporting hail and minor flooding in Fort Collins. Areas reported include the intersection of Harmony and Timberline Roads, as well as Shields Street in the area of Mulberry and Elizabeth Streets.
It has now also been reported that the traffic light at College Avenue and Prospect Road is not functioning, with debris in the road on southbound College.

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR... SOUTHWESTERN WELD COUNTY IN NORTHEAST COLORADO
* UNTIL 845 PM MDT
* AT 544 PM MDT... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN FROM A THUNDERSTORM OVER PLATTEVILLE... OR 14 MILES SOUTH OF GREELEY. THIS STORM WAS NEARLY STATIONARY.
* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO PLATTEVILLE.
DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT AROUND 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN FROM THIS STORM IN THE LAST 45 MINUTES.
ANOTHER 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED BEFORE THE STORM WEAKENS.
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS... COUNTRY ROADS... NORMALLY DRY WASHES AND ARROYOS... AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.
DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD. TURN AROUND... DONT DROWN.
