Some intersections were completely covered with water, causing nervous motorists to slow, which in turn backed traffic up in some busy intersections.

The Emergency Alert System connected to the National Weather Service with TRI 102.5 issued severe thunderstorms warnings and flash flood warnings for areas from the city of Laramie to Larimer and Weld Counties.
