Fight on Charter Bus Ends In 1st Murder of the Year in Loveland
Police are investigating the first murder of the year in Loveland. It started with a fight on a private charter bus to Blackhawk and ended up with one man dead in a parking lot. 32-year-old Cory James Nix was arrested for second degree murder in the death of 41-year-old Billy Kirk Page.
According to 9News,They apparently got into an argument while on the bus. When they got off the bus, police say Nix assaulted Page in the Chilson Recreation Center parking lot. Page was rushed to the hospital, but he was later pronounced dead by blunt force trauma.
Nix is being held at the Larimer County Detention Center. Because of the Presidents' Day holiday, his first appearance in court is on Tuesday. He could face 10 to 24 years in prison if convicted.
