Family Dinners Make Better Families – Brian’s Blog
I have written about it before and I will do it again. I believe many of the problems of the world would go away if more families would sit down for dinner together. I know we have athletics and other activities after work and school but we must find time to sit together and talk about our days and be involved in each others lives. That is what a family is.
We still have dinner together at least 5 nights a week or more. It is what we do and I believe it keeps us connected. Studies have shown that kids who have dinner with the family are likely to have better grades, are healthier physically and mentally and lower have rates of cigarette and alcohol abuse. We say we would do anything for our kids. How about creating a supper time together that makes them better in every way? Are you willing to do that? Sit down together and get to know each other. Even the folks on Duck Dynasty know that.
