After a negative week of insults and ridicule, today we can see the positive side of things as a new Facebook page pays tribute to all the beautiful girls of Fort Collins. And in beautiful, I mean from the inside out, it isn't always about what you can see, some of the most beautiful people are standing right in front of you.

You Are Beautiful

It's so refreshing to know that there are so many people supporting this new page and highlighting the good in people.

For the girl who has been beaten down by her peers, but is beautiful just the way she is, for the girl who goes home to a bad situation but seems to make the best of everything anyways, to the girl who doesn't let anyone stop her from dreaming her dream, and to the girl who works hard to make her place in the world. This is for every single beautiful soul in the FRHS community who deserve to know they are beautiful.

You are so gorgeous! I am so blessed to have met you this year and have such a wonderful friend. You make such a great impact not only to your friends but our school! The hours you spend after school before school during your lunch working and fixing the lights for concerts, plays, and activities in the PAC is ..wow. You don't get enough recognition you deserve. Thank you Kat, you are beyond amazing girl.

You're an amazing person both inside and out. You always know how to make a person feel special and feel loved. I don't have to worry about being judged when I'm around you. I love that you treat everyone equally. I love you so much. You are a true inspiration to all. You've always been there for me when I need you the most.
Love,
Someone that is there for you

Even as adults we get caught up on physical beauty or forget to tell those in our lives what a difference they make, what a great way to remind all of us to stand up and recognize what we have; to recognize the beauty in the people around us and acknowledge them. They don't do what they do for glory, but it would be nice to pick a person each week (or each day) to compliment for what they mean to you, even if it's your grocery store clerk, your favorite server, your neighbor or the newspaper delivery person.

Let's stand tall together today and everyday and remember that it takes all of us to make this world a positive place and focusing on the negative, in turn, only creates a negative place to live, work, play and raise our children.
