In this day and age when we hear "explosion" we immediately assume that it was a malicious act. But the explosion at Colorado State University in Fort Collins today (April 29th) is being deemed an accident. Still, two CSU students have been injured.

According to the Coloradoan, a student was washing out a glass container in the Chemistry Building on the Fort Collins campus when a chemical in the container reacted to the water and caused the container to explode at about 3:30 p.m.

The explosion sent the mentioned student to the hospital with cuts to his face, and at least one other student was cut on the hand.

There was no damage to the building, nor was there an evacuation at the school.
