Highway 34 between Loveland and Greeley will be reduced to one lane in each direction This weekend (April 14-15) and again next weekend (April 21-22). The Union Pacific Railroad and the Colorado Department of Transportation are replacing the railroad crossing about a half-mile east of the Centerra Parkway intersection, the entrance to the Promenade shopping center.

All US 34 traffic will be diverted to the westbound lanes this weekend, where one lane of traffic will travel eastbound and one lane will travel westbound in a head-to-head configuration similar to a two-lane highway. Significant delays should be expected and alternative routes are strongly advised for all motorists. No trucks will be allowed east of I-25 on US 34 to Greeley over the weekend.

In order for the repairs to be completed, the westbound lanes of US 34 will be closed next weekend and all traffic will be diverted to the eastbound lanes, where again traffic will be a single lane in each direction.
