Ty Churchwell, the San Juan Mountains coordinator for Trout Unlimited will be the guest speaker at the October 21 meeting of the Rocky Mountain Flycasters. Churchwell, a CSU graduate, works with the Sportsmen's Conservation Project which has been responsible for recently successful campaigns regarding Hermosa Creek and Brown's Canyon National Monument. He will discuss the issues of abandoned mines and water quality, including the recent Animas River toxic spill.

The meeting will take place Wednesday October 21 at the Ft Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Drive. Social hour and a fly tying demonstration begin at 6:30, with the program at 7 p.m. The event is free.

Rocky Mountain Flycasters was the tenth chapter authorized by Trout Unlimited, the nation's largest coldwater conservation agency, and is more than thirty years old.
