This engaging session will focus on the importance of wills, trusts and beneficiary designation forms in the estate planning process. Topics covered include how wills, trusts and beneficiary designation forms operate and how to decide which may be right for you based on your individual circumstances and goals.
We will discuss, compare and contrast the uses and characteristics of wills and trusts, including benefits, costs and pitfalls of each. The differences between probate and non-probate assets will be addressed, and we will consider the importance of beneficiary designation forms on assets such as life insurance policies, annuities and retirement plans in the estate planning process.
