Additional Information

Join David Leatherman for a lecture at High Plains Environmental Center on Saturday, October 24 at 9 a.m. One of the greatest joys of birding is true "watching". To be sure, it is fun to see new birds and identify them. But there is so much more to our hobby if we just open our eyes. "It's a Downy Woodpecker, yes, but which gender, which race? What is it doing? Why is it over there and not over here? What is under that particular patch of bark that interests it?" The questions to be answered in wild habitats and our yards are endless. This talk will focus on birds of our Fort Collins/Loveland area, their food habits, and other interesting behaviors. Free for members and $5 for non-members. 1854 Piney River Drive, Loveland, CO 80538. Call 970-342-9533 if you have any questions.
