Evacuation Notices Have Been Lifted for Red Feather Lakes Fire
At 3:00 this morning, Red Feather Lakes residents in the Fox Acres neighborhood as well as on County Road 67J south of the firehouse to County Road 74E were told to evacuate immediately. An evacuation center was set up at Livermore Elementary school. 367 emergency notifications were sent. Larimer County Emergency Services, Red Feather Fire, Crystal Lake Fire, and Glacier View Fire are responding.
Structures Lost
A Larimer County Sheriff’s Officer, John Schulz, said a vacant summer home was lost in the blaze.The fire spread to a second structure where a propane tank exploded. Both of these buildings are total losses. The cause is unknown at this time. Evacuations were lifted by 4:30am.
