Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials are looking for any information regarding a bull elk carcass dumped along Ute Pass Road near mile marker three, north of Silverthorne, CO. CPW learned about the carcass on October 6 and ask the public for help identifying the person responsible.

The elk had been field dressed, quartered and placed in game bags; however, one rear quarter, a backstrap and the head and antlers were missing. The rest left to rot by the side of the road.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife urges the responsible party to come forward immediately. In some cases, prompt reporting is taken into consideration when assessing charges.
