Eight Tornadoes Touched Down in Colorado Yesterday
At least eight tornadoes touched down in Colorado yesterday afternoon (Sunday, June 8). Thanks to 7News in Denver for sharing the list:
- Reported at 11:15 a.m., was 3 miles northeast of Fairplay. It was on the ground for 5 minutes and damaged the roof of a structure.
- Three miles west of Lake George, in Park County. It touched down around 12:32 p.m. About 50 acres of forest were damaged.
- Reported at 12:54 p.m., 2 miles south of Grover in Weld County. No damage reported.
- Hit at 12:58 p.m. near the Blackstone Golf Course in Aurora. It flipped a construction trailer and picked up a golf cart, injuring at least two people.
- Reported 5 miles east-northeast of Palmer Lake, in Douglas County at 1:12 p.m., with no damage.
- Spotted in Roggen in rural Weld County at 1:17 p.m.
- Tornado touched down near Prospect Valley in Weld County at 1:32 p.m.
- Touched down briefly in an open field 15 miles southeast of Bennett.
