It was not the afternoon that eight men had hoped for, after all eight were busted during a prostitution sting that occurred on Wednesday, May 12, at a Fort Collins hotel.

Seven out of the eight men were arrested at the Cambria Hotel and Suites, located on East Harmony Road. The men responded and showed up at the hotel, but when no one came to the door in which they were knocking, the men then headed back out to the parking lot, where they were greeted by a uniformed officer and taken into custody.

The eighth man was apprehended by police at the corner of Timberwood Drive and Zeigler Road, just a short distance from the Cambria Suites. All of the men were booked on charges of soliciting prostitution and patronizing a prostitute. The names have yet to be released until they are formally charged.

There have been several other similar stings in Fort Collins during the past few months. In April, 16 men were arrested over the course of multiple stings being carried out, as well as four men who were jailed in March using a similar strategy.
