Today is Homemade Pie Day! What a great day to celebrate. There are few things more tasty on this planet than a big ole slice of delicious pie. I make a lot of different pies but the one that has created the most drool is my peanut butter fudge pie. Every person I have ever served it to has wanted the recipe right away. I have been known to make these for people on their birthdays and it always seems like a perfect gift. I know Jenny Harding in particular is a big fan of this one.

Here we go. This is incredibly easy and so tasty.

Ingredients

Package of Oreo cookies
A jar of hot fudge ice cream topping
12 oz tub of Cool Whip
1 1/2 cups of peanut butter
8 0z block of cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar

Directions

Take a row or 2 of Oreo cookies and eat them. Then take another row and crush them in a baggie with a hammer or however you want to crush them. I like mixing in a tool in the process whenever I can. Put the crushed cookies in a pie pan.

Heat the hot fudge sauce and pour half of the jar over the cookies in the pie pan.

In a mixing bowl blend together the peanut butter, sugar and cream cheese.

SLOWLY fold 2/3 of the Cool Whip into the mixture and pour into the pie pan.

Cover the pie with most of the remaining hot fudge saving just a few tablespoons.

Put in the fridge until fudge cools.

When cooled, top with the remaining Cool Whip and spread over entire pie.

Take a couple Tbsp of fudge and put in a small baggie and do the same with some peanut butter. Cut the corner of the baggies and squeeze out the fudge and peanut butter in lines to make a nice lattice on the top.

Now bury your face in it and be happy.
