I have no problem admitting I am head over heels in love with the music and spirit of Drake White. I love this man. I love the music he makes. I love his soul and what he lets us feel come out of it through his music. He is one of those rare, once in lifetime, type of artists. You cannot put into words what you feel at a Drake White show, you just have to feel it for yourself. Those of you who were lucky enough to be in the audience at this past years Habajeeba Show know what I mean. This man is pure joy on stage.

Drake has been hard at it for years making friends and winning over fans one show at at a time and it has paid off. His long awaited debut album "Spark" finally has been released. I have waited for years for this baby and I must say it is worth the wait. Drake and his band The Big Fire have delivered one of the best albums of the year. You know the hits "It Feels Good" and "Living the Dream" but there is so much more here. If you are a fan of music, no matter what kind of music, you will love this album. It is an unforgettable musical journey from the first cut "Heartbeat" to the final slice "Take Me As I Am".

You know an artist is something special when you really cannot compare them to anyone and there really is no one who sounds like Drake White and there are no two cuts that sound the same on the album. It is a magical, unpredictable trip for your ears, mind and body. You will tap your feet to "Equator". You will want to hold your lover and slow dance to "Makin' Me Look Good Again", which may be my favorite on the record. You will think and reflect on life and the world with "I Need Real" and "Back to Free" and tap your toes and sing along to "Elvis", "Live Some" and "Story" by the second chorus.

There are good albums and there are great albums. This is a great album by a great artist who deserves huge success and awards. Welcome to the beginning of the Year of Drake White. This is going to be big.
