Fort Collins Mayor Karen Weitkunat will flip the switch at the annual Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony tonight (Friday). The LED lights will be lit up from November 1st - February 14th. The downtown lighting ceremony starts at 6 p.m. tonight, but the lights will go on right around 6:30 in the Oak Street Plaza at College Avenue & Oak Street.

The evening begins at 6:30pm with music from Andrew Vogt & his band, cookies, and hot cocoa. Then at 6:30pm Mayor Karen Weitkunat will address the crowd and “throw the switch” to turn on all lights in downtown. You can enjoy the holiday lights from anywhere along College Avenue beginning at Laporte Avenue and continuing to Magnolia Street. Trees will be lit along Walnut Ave, Linden St., Pine St., Old Town Square, Oak Street Plaza, and Mountain Ave.
