The past year has been a slow and steady process getting my garage better organized to help keep things clean. I have put up insulation, drywall, built a huge miter saw station that has 29 drawers for storage and now two large cabinets have been added to the mix!

All of the cabinets were made with maple hardwood and 3/4" and 1/4" maple plywood.

I started out with the cabinet carcasses using Kreg pocket hole screws and wood glue built to the dimensions that would suit my needs.

I then built the cabinet doors. These doors are my first ever set of cabinet doors. These are tongue and groove shaker style doors made out of 3/4" maple hardwood and 1/4" plywood for the panels. I snapped a photo pf them after getting them glued up.

Next was the installation of the hinges. I bought a bulk box of the concealed euro style hinges. It took a lot of trial and error to get the right measurements on them as they didn't come with any mounting instructions.

This particular cabinet houses all of the stuff that is used for our cars. Brake cleaner, oil, car wash products, jack stands, etc.

This cabinet alone de-cluttered a lot of my precious garage space and consolidated everything car related into one spot. Not only that, this cabinet helps keep the inevitable sawdust out as well.

The next cabinet holds miscellaneous items that otherwise would have no where to call home. A couple of pairs of shoes, a small crockpot and some other items live in here currently.

There is enough space under both of the cabinets to keep other items as well!

I learned quite a bit building these two cabinets for my garage. They are practice, if you would like to call it that. My next cabinet venture will be a pair for the laundry room and then I'll move on to remodeling our closet.
