Some places in Old Town just can't catch a break.

UPDATED 10/25/13 @ 6:00 PM: A commenter on Facebook has shed some light on the Gelazzi situation.  Fortunately, it looks like I may have been right about a renovation:

I was sad to hear about Gelazzi, the Italian gelato cafe at 128 S. College Ave., closing down back in 2012, then happy to see it reopened in April under new ownership.  But as of today, the place appears to be closed once again.

The lights are off, the doors are locked, and the windows are covered in butcher paper, according to the Coloradoan

As of writing this, no explanations have been posted to Gelazzi's Facebook page, and the Coloradoan has not been able to reach anyone at the business for comment.

According to the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment’s website, the store is not closed for reasons of public health.

I posted on the Feasting Fort Collins blog's Facebook page asking if the author Kristin knew anything.  This was her response:

Well, if the shop is indeed closed again, my thoughts go out to all the employees.

I guess there's always the possibility that's it's some kind of super-secret renovation or something...

What do you think?
