Details of Deadly Booby Traps Set by Aurora Theater Shooter Emerge [VIDEO]

James Holmes didn't want his wanton destruction to stop at the movie theater where he opened fire.

He booby trapped his apartment which he knew investigators would soon be visiting. Inside the apartment, the bomb robot found homemade napalm, bombs wired together and fashioned with what appear to be plastic bowling balls, and .40 caliber bullets packed into improvised explosive devices.

According to the video, the door was supposed to trip the whole thing to blow. Holmes had apparently set up something to create noise, in hopes that a complaint would be called into the police, and when they responded and forced their way in the door, the whole contraption would explode. I suppose that was just in case his shooting spree didn't lead them back to his home. This video was confidential and just recently made public by the FBI.

Personnel from the ATF, FBI and bomb squads from Adams and Arapaho counties teamed up to dismantle the bombs which included numerous tripping mechanisms, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and bottles of gasoline scattered around to accelerate the flame.
