I got a 'big wonderful scoop of family' this past weekend and both of my sisters
reminded me of our holiday traditions, and those memories have only sweetened with the years. I hadn't been motivated to decorate for Christmas in a while, but I actually hung two strands of red and green lights yesterday and that kick started it all.

Today I'm going to find a lefse grill.  Before our mom passed away she made lefse for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  She praised my help (speed) in rolling out the dough and she was picky. Her lefse had to be practically see-through. I giggle when I think of paint stir sticks loaded with my rolled out lefse hanging all over her kitchen waiting to get on the grill.

I've been listening to Christmas music since mid November.  It's my favorite part of the holidays and I used to believe it was all the Christmas I needed.  This year starts a new tradition that may or may not be edible.  In any case, enough butter can fix most anything, don't you agree?

Another new-to-me event this Saturday is riding my horse with the Greeley Stampede Riders. We are part of the Greeley Lights the Night Parade and the first time we've
ever hung Christmas lights on Lily. The weather looks to be mild.
